EcoVadis Platinum medal: delfort recognized for fifth year
Suggestions:
“Earning five consecutive Platinum awards is a remarkable achievement,” says Hannes Kinast, COO of delfort. To remain among the long‑term industry leaders, continuous progress and measurable improvement are essential. This year, delfort not only maintained its Platinum status but also increased its score to 89 points. The company performed well in all four EcoVadis categories: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement, and Corporate Ethics. The most significant progress was made in the ethics category, driven by enhanced IT security measures, strengthened anti‑corruption guidelines, and comprehensive compliance training programs.
“The EcoVadis Platinum award reflects the joint commitment of our employees and the trust of our customers, with whom we are working together towards a more sustainable future,” says Kinast.
A key pillar of delfort’s sustainability strategy is its net-zero roadmap, which outlines validated, science‑based climate targets under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Net Zero Standard. The roadmap defines concrete measures to reduce emissions across the entire company. Building on this foundation, delfort has recently commissioned the world’s largest heat pump, enabling one of its production sites to operate entirely fossil‑free.
“In addition to continuous efficiency gains achieved through modern technologies, further electrification, and investments in sustainable in-house energy generation, this marks a significant milestone for us. The renewed EcoVadis Platinum rating confirms that we are among the global leaders in sustainability management and performance — and underlines our commitment to achieving net zero emissions,” says Kinast.
