establishment of Metallpapierfabrik H.Benkert GmbH & Co. KG in Dresden, Germany
1944
destruction of the plant by bombing during the 2nd World War, and subsequent reconstruction
1949
expropriation of the plant by the GDR in Dresden - in the same year production could be resumed in Herne, Germany
1954
move to the current company premises on Industriestraße, Herne, Germany
1967
establishment of Deutsche Benkert Herne, Germany
