Roland Balázs heard a rumor that working for delfort was pretty amazing. Immediately he wanted in on the action. Over seven years ago, he joined our team in Hungary to find out for himself if the rumor was true. He was not disappointed! Let’s find out why.
Roland is a typical maximalist and likes focusing on one thing, giving it his all. Collaboration is important to him; he appreciates giving and receiving help.
Roland, what do you enjoy most about your job as a production controller at our paper mill in dunafin?
My work is dynamic. I learn new things every day and often face exciting challenges that promote my professional development. It makes me really happy when I see that a solution I have created works and contributes to the company's success.
What does a production controller do?
In short: I am jointly responsible that enough raw materials for production are available when it’s needed. By analyzing the processes (like stock movements) and product groups, I can determine everything we need to know for identifying risks, preventing shortages and excesses, handling shipments, and maintaining quality standards. Reporting and forecast controlling also play important roles, always taking financial planning, economic considerations, and the further development of reporting into account.
What do you appreciate most about delfort, and how does Dunafin stand out from other employers in the region?
Dunafin is special because our team feels like a big family. We all enjoy the security of working for a stable company and love to go to work. We especially appreciate the great atmosphere and the effort that goes into making it stay that way. That is why I came here. A friend of mine was so enthusiastic about delfort, I immediately wanted to be part of it. That feeling has not changed for over 7 years.
What fascinates you about paper?
It is incredible how high-tech paper making is today resulting in multifaceted, specialty paper grades – all of them highly functional, designed with great knowledge to fulfil a certain purpose. I also love seeing how delfort experts from all over the world collaborate creatively to develop groundbreaking paper solutions.
What is your life motto?
Stay positive, work hard, and do it with pleasure!
Thank you Roland, for that great interview!
