Lead Buyer CAPEX (f/m/d)

Your tasks

  • You are directly involved in CAPEX projects and purchase equipment in cooperation with the mill procurement, corporate and local project teams
  • You actively manage all commercial/contractual aspects for CAPEX- projects as a Corporate Lead Buyer in alignment with the locations and in accordance with the established processes
  • You negotiate prices and contracts for your area of responsibility and independently manage procurement projects and select or qualify new suppliers
  • You develop and execute appropriate sourcing paths, considering strategical and future oriented aspects, as well as the TCO approach
  • You strongly align sourcing activities with local and corporate procurement, to bundle, lift synergies at time of project execution, but also considering future MRO needs
  • You develop supplier management processes as well as structured market follow-ups and an internal reporting

Your experience

  • Higher degree in mechanical engineering or related studies
  • Advanced knowledge of modern procurement tools & processes and commercial project management skills
  • Strong technical understanding and high affinity for figures
  • Competent in contract and claim management
  • Sound negotiation and communication skills in English and German
  • Several (5+) years of experience in procurement or project management in an international environment (e.g. automotive industry, company in the field of mechanical engineering)
  • Experience of plant and machinery procurement and capital expenditure purchases at an international level
  • Team player, business orientation and assertive personality
  • Willingness to travel (appr. 30%)
