Sanni entered delfort as a summer intern back in 2006. She has three kids and loves to spend here spare time in nature.
Sanni, having entered delfort as a summer intern back in 2006, what made your internship at tervakoski most memorable?
As always, delfort did an outstanding job making the Quality Assurance (QA) interns feel at home and ensuring we got the most out of our training. We became a tight knit group, working closely at the facility and hanging out after office hours. To celebrate the completion of facility-wide internships, delfort held an evening event for us at the local hunting lodge. It was there I spoke to a very interesting intern from the maintenance department. Little did I know, I had just met my future husband! Both still working for delfort at tervakoski, we now have three children together. We are living proof delfort fosters a family friendly culture, wink, wink!

Tell us about your career path from intern to manager
After my internship and graduation, I was well-equipped to take an opportunity working at delfort as Quality Assurance Engineer. Later, I was promoted to Quality Assurance Manager at the delfort site in tervakoski. Working in the QA department never gets boring. Changes to the product portfolio and exciting, innovative projects keep my work interesting. Thanks to the dynamic environment, I’m engaged in new topics and challenges every day. I love that I continue to evolve as a professional and balance family life as well.

When you look back, what has changed at delfort since your summer internship?
Part of what makes the company so exciting, is that delfort strives to continuously improve in all areas. Take the product portfolio, for example. It has expanded considerably, now including revolutionary, eco-friendly products that are game-changing. Investments, fusions and policies have been implemented that allow an ultimately safe, productive and collaborative culture that goes above and beyond requirements and expectations. For QA, moving the R&D lab under the same roof as production has been especially beneficial, optimizing the versatility of our know-how.
What do you like most about your job and the company?
Absolutely the people! You won’t find a more talented, supportive or smarter team than our international delfort family. The culture encourages cross-functional collaboration with first-class, creative, highly-skilled professionals. The international exchange gives an intellectual edge that is truly unique. In addition to this, the wide product portfolio is forever evolving and expanding. This means I stay sharp, consistently developing my skills. It’s a very special place to work and it’s no wonder so many team members are satisfied staying and building careers here!
