delfort recognizes the impact that packaging paper production has on forests, species and the climate and therefore, the need to ensure the adoption of environmentally and socially responsible packaging paper production. That’s why we are joining forces with the nonprofit environmental organization Canopy to protect the planet and conserve the world’s most vital forests through the responsible sourcing of fibers and sustainable manufacturing.
delfort is committed to working in partnership with other companies, suppliers, customers and Canopy to protect the world’s vulnerable and at-risk forests.
A key focus of our partnership with Canopy is to forward the conservation of the world’s critical high carbon value (HCS) and biodiverse (HCV) forest ecosystems. delfort is committed to continuing its policy of responsible fiber procurement. We stand against the use of fiber from Ancient and Endangered Forests as identified in ForestMapper from Canopy and forest fiber from threatened and/or endangered species habitats.
delfort will be a vocal advocate for the conservation of Ancient and Endangered Forests globally. If we find that any of our fiber sources contain fiber from critical habitats or Ancient and Endangered Forests or other controversial sources, we will work either autonomously or with our suppliers to eliminate this fiber from the supply or find another source of supply.
The fibers used in our packaging will be FSCTM certified as a preference. We focus on producing lightweight specialty papers through design innovation. By producing lightweight packaging papers we can offer functional solutions made with less material and fewer natural resources.
